Hyalite Pilsner Malt

Characteristics

A more toned down flavor compared to our pale malt.

Hyalite Pilsner is our take on this classic malt style. Produced by low-temp, high airflow kilning, our pilsner malt features a subtler flavor than pale malt with biscuity flavors of flour, hay, cheerios and honey. It produces a light straw gold wort. Hyalite Pilsner is an excellent malt for brewing lagers, farmhouse-style ales, and other light-colored beer styles.

All of our malts are grown and malted sustainably from field to kiln on our farm in Manhattan, MT.
